| Owner-run and design-led | US$1,800 – 2,500 | The camps people name when they get home. Six to ten tents, an owner or manager who is present, a guide assigned to you for the stay, and food that would hold its own in a city. |

Where to spend it, in order
- Nights. More of them, at fewer places. This is the one that never disappoints.
- A private vehicle. On a honeymoon this is not an indulgence, it is the difference between your schedule and a committee’s.
- A small camp. Eight tents rather than sixty rooms changes the whole feel, at any rate.
- Private land. Off-road, night drives, walking, and a cap on vehicles at a sighting.
- The room. Last. Above the entry level it is already lovely.

The honeymoon fund question
If guests are contributing, the agency can quote the trip as a whole and you can decide what to do with that number. We do not run a gift registry and would not pretend to, but a single itemised quote is usually easier to work from than a list of components.
